My most recent tattoo is actually my neck. I grew up in a very conservative family, and while they’ve always been very accepting of my art work, tattooing my neck was my own way of saying that I accepted myself. That I didn’t need anyone else’s approval, I just needed to be proud of me and be free to express myself fully. It’s been the most liberating tattoo experience.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I think if my ink could speak, it would probably sound like a mix of Maya Angelou and Morgan Richard Olivier; a sweet monologue of healing and protecting yourself while learning to see the beauty in the struggle.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, I’d like to contribute to a problem I know is bigger than just my hometown in AR. So many people are struggling just for basic necessities like groceries. I think donating to Feeding America would be a wonderful way to do something bigger. I’d also use some of the $25,000 to help start a small business that my fiancé and I have been planning on.
