I’ve always been captivated by flowers, largely because I think I haven’t had much access to them when they first appear each year and I’ve always enjoyed the paradoxes that they present—they smell beautiful but can induce a painful reaction; they symbolize life but are generally short lived.

What would you do with the $25,000?I’m a high school teacher at a public school in Manhattan—that type of money would be life changing. It would allow me to finally renovate my apartment so I can fix my kitchen. I currently have a tub in my kitchen and zero counter space so cooking is super rough. I could finally fix it so I could cook more and save a lot of time and money.
