Felicia Lay

My ink is how I express myself. Many tattoos are of things that I admire and love. They also make me feel beautiful.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Honestly, my love for art is why I wanted to get my latest tattoo. It’s a tattoo of Greek Goddess Aphrodite. To me art isn’t just a drawing or a picture of something. It’s all around us. It’s who we are. We would be nothing without it.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink would tell a story of a person who hadn’t quite fit in. It would say that I have always had a place in this world even if it’s not where I originally thought it would be. It would say that I’m goofy, weird, kind, and loving. It would also say that I can be impulsive but that’s okay because sometimes those decisions lead to great memories and if they lead to bad ones we can learn from it and grow into who we are meant to be.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’m currently not working due to a back injury. It’s very complicated and quite limiting. I haven’t ever had financial support from anyone except for myself. So it would be a kind of be a relief. At least for a little while. I can finally fix my car up and pay off a few medical bills. I’d probably use it to move to a safer location. Just the basics really.
