It was inspired by my roots, my ancestors from the old Tenochtitlan representing the animal and plants that gave birth to that place (Mexico city) and the cosmovision back then. since I came to New York I ve been embracing more my culture and through the tattoos and paintings I’ve been able to share it keeping my own style
If your ink could speak, what would it say?We all are evolving, sublimating and surfing in our mental processes, the human experience is nothing but a dance between the dark and light so we gotta keep moving in this endless celebration called life, but beyond the style or art statement, for me tattoing is a way to connecting with the other in a very intimate way, using the body as a canvas to immortalize an experience, a feeling or just a memorable silly thought and create a traveling art piece that last not forever but a lifetime.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would invest more in my career as a tatttoo artist, grow my studio and in it help more artist to grow and learn how to conceptualize the tattoing technique and with this promote the culture to help to change the biases that still exist about tattoos, they have been existing since the origin. I would also travel more and get tattooed by people that inspirme, thank you thank you thank you bang bang really admire the work, the art and the support
