Like all my tattoos, this piece on my back is a continuation of the story of my life. Trauma in my childhood led to me joining gangs at a young age.The Phoenix represents my survival, and each crowned head represents an obstacle conquered in my life.I went from being a kid with a lot of trauma who joined gangs at a young age to a 30 yr youth advocate, dealing with youth violence, and a recently elected official in the hometown I used to pollute at one time.I wanted a piece that showed my journey
