I lost my husband to suicide on 4.30.24. He gave me Regina Spektor, whose lyric—“I’m the hero of this story; don’t need to be saved”—carried me through motherhood and heartbreak. Our love was deep, our marriage stormy. I’ve learned to save myself. This lotus down my spine marks my rise from darkness—rooted in pain, blooming in strength.

What would you do with the $25,000?This would help me raise my babies (7 & 6) and help me keep providing for them as a single mother since losing my husband to suicide. My deepest wish in life is to plant roots; to secure a home, a place to be that I can help us grow and flourish for many, many years to come.
