Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

As an illustrator/designer by profession, I am proud to say that I created the art for my chest piece (one of many). I collaborated with a fantastic artist who brought my piece to life. I don’t necessarily have any connection to the subject matter apart from just liking the design, but wearing my own art across my chest until the day I die is inspiration enough for me🤌🏻

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink is the embodiment of the new found self-confidence that I didn’t have before. Having all of this beautiful ink on my body helped me love myself and was a big part of healing from an eating disorder. I was majorly insecure about my body, but ink helps me see the beauty in it. Today they are a celebration of making it to this point. They have helped me become who I am and honestly, I’m thriving!

What would you do with the $25,000?

One of my deepest desires is to be able to fully support myself creatively. I work as an artist, and I can manage but with $25,000, I could take the next steps in creating the sewing studio of my dreams. Being a multifaceted creator, I wish I had more space and better supplies to create custom clothing for clients, as well as to teach sewing courses to students. I love to share knowledge/teach and it’s a shame that sewing seems to be a dying art.
