Ok, this is going to sound like the true nerd that I am... I was faced with some challenges early in life. My brilliant father returned from Vietnam w/ the 1st brain tumor of its kind, & I was born with microtia(no right ear @ all). We spent a lot of time @ Hospitals like UCSF & Stanford. It would say that being different is ok. Infact, it is a part of a life well lived. I began collecting scars, tattoos, & piercings at a young age. I used to hide my scars... until I got my 1st tattoo. I learned how to be proud of what makes me different, what makes me who I am. I learned that the best stories of all are the one's that are lived. And that everyone has their own unique adventure-both behind them and ahead of them.These are the awesome tales that our tattoos (& scars, etc)

Write a new memory! I would create a great adventure with & for my little sister, Melissa. She was recently diagnosed with a serious illness- but this is another one of the things that we must face in life. It doesn't define us at all. She has had a really big upswing since she moved home, after a scary 1st year since she was diagnosed. I will rent my family cabin up in Homewood, Lake Tahoe- where we spent every summer as kids: sunny days at Chambers Landing, up on beautiful 'Big Blue'. 🌏🌻&h
