After sitting in the chair for many American traditional patchwork pieces, my artists gave me books to scroll through of his favorite artists such as Sailor Jerry and George Burchett. I fell in love with their work as well as my own artists. Him and I were inspired to work together on my back piece, which incorporated my close connection to wolves, a little yin-yang reference and ornamental designs. It’s ironic that my favorite piece on my body is the one I can’t see.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would say that I have changed a lot, as well as the styles I’ve grown to love. Like many people with ink, there have been bad choices and pieces that are perhaps regrettable. Some of my ink is quite unique but I love all of it and they’ve played a significant role in who I am today.
What would you do with the $25,000?I’m currently a nurse, so I would use the money to go back to school and become a nurse practitioner.
