Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My wife inspired my most recent tattoo! Her best friend is a tattoo artist, so the two of them collaborated on a flash sheet—and I ended up getting one of the designs on my wrist. I love it. It’s a daily reminder of their creativity and the love that went into it.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

"This guy knows a good time!" A lot of my tattoos are connected to people I truly care about. I have a cartoon of my grandmother on my right arm—something my uncle used to draw when I was a kid. She’s since passed, but I’m really grateful she got to see the tattoo before she left us. Many of my other tattoos were done by friends who were just starting out and wanted to practice their craft. Each one holds a special place in my story.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With the $25,000, I’d use most of it to kickstart a business my wife and I recently started. We’re both teachers and artists, and we’ve created art-based curriculums designed to help people who think they’re “bad at art” or “can’t draw” realize that they can create—and that art is for everyone. As for the free tattoo, I’d give it to my wife—she’s the greatest thing to ever happen to me. She’s a huge fan of Bang
