Enter For FreeMy most recent tattoo was from a flash sheet. My previous roommate is a tattooer at a local shop here in Michigan and I took him up on the offer to get some ink! The image is a re-envisioned version of a medieval knight falling onto their own sword.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would speak volumes. It would tell me to stay weird and be undeniably authentic. My ink already holds me close in its arms and reminds of where I came from, who I am at my core. Loudly and boldly, the ink displayed is truly an homage to my inner child whose dream it was to draw on every surface and keep a living diary on my person. My tattoos are more than just images, they whisper to me like bookmarks or annotated pages, as a way to never forget who I am.
What would you do with the $25,000?With $25,000, my goal would be to finally fill in the blank spots I have around my body. My plan would be to work closely with the artist(s) to create a draft of how this would be accomplished. The styles of tattooing I am interested in are a range from traditional to heavy black work, shapes to imagery, so on and so forth. My ideal ink is continuous curvilinear line-work that connects through different limbs of my body, passing “underneath” or right on top of already had ink.
