Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I went through years of abuse with my ex-husband, and it took a long time to find myself again. The healing wasn’t easy, but little by little, I started to reclaim my strength. One of the ways I did that was through tattoos. Each one a chapter of my story. I chose to get Medusa on my right hip. Her story resonates with me. She’s a symbol of protection & power, misunderstood, feared, yet strong. Now she watches over me every day reminding me that I’m no longer a victim.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My tattoos tell a story—a deep, personal journey that began when I was a teenager. Getting inked gave me the outlet I needed to express what words couldn’t. Each tattoo carries meaning, a memory, a moment I survived. Some represent pain, others healing, but together they tell the story of someone who’s been through the worst and still keeps going. If there’s one message my ink screams loud and clear “I’m a SURVIVOR!” No matter what life throws at me.

What would you do with the $25,000?

Winning this contest would mean everything to me and my two children. Right now, we’re living in a small apartment, but I urgently need to move for our safety, and we have nowhere else to go. This opportunity could truly change our lives, giving us the chance to start fresh in a safe and stable home. It would be the turning point we desperately need.
