My ink is inspired by my family’s Puerto Rican heritage and pays homage to an island that has given me pride, peace, and love of my culture. The mail piece is an outline of the island, with the islands native Coqui frog, and a saying from my grandfather that has helped guide me through life with his wisdom, “better days will come”
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would tell me to remember where I came from, to remember where my family came from, and to remember my roots. My ink would tell me to listen to my grandfather and stay positive. Lastly my ink would tell me how beautiful this world is, and that the future is bright, your surroundings are beautiful, and to be grateful to be given another day.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25k I would invest in a food truck that featured dishes from Puerto Rico. It’s always been my dream to be an entrepreneur and start a business that my children can take over. Creating generational wealth and paying homage to the island that created my family is a dream come true to me.
