Hunter Scow

All of my ink leans into a melancholy and almost religious aesthetic that has heavily influenced me as a burlesque dancer.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was three eyeballs on my upper forearm and came from someone’s flash. The style reminded me of Andy Warhol and since most of my tattoos are inspired from artworks (Banksy, Michelangelo, Cabanel) I knew if would fit my aesthetic perfectly.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I think of my tattoos as postcards from past selves. Each tattoo would have different stories attributed to who I was at the time I got them. The Scorpion would tell stories of resilience and protection, the fallen angel on my arm stories of sexuality and power. My tattoos are souvenirs I've collected through life.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would pay off my car loan.
