Most recent ones, both from one sitting are a logo from a Chinese restaurant I used to eat at as a kid, and small eye glasses as filler. The eye frames are a nod to my two pairs on my right arm and the 98 pairs of eye glasses in real life, so naturally I want to get them as filler too! The logo has bamboo and a moon. In Chinese culture, bamboo means resilience, strength, integrity, and uprightness, while the moon represents feminine beauty and mystery. All these items hold personal significance.

If my ink could speak, they would thank my artists for the love and attention they have shown me and others who see me. Yesterday, several people connected with my tattoos, including a five-year-old! They’d be happy that Patty Mayonnaise from Doug got some attention, while Link from Zelda got recognized, or people from San Francisco appreciate the street sign or the Golden Gate Bridge. They’d thank me for being so bright and rooted and meaningful in my life.

Get more tattoos, naturally! Thankfully, my affordable artists won’t break the bank. I’ll use the rest of the money for my creative endeavors. Currently, I’m building a fun accessories side hustle that will sell 1” buttons, acrylic earrings, patches, beanies, and shirts and more.
