Gaudí’s stained glass mosaic style at the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell deeply moved me during my study abroad in Barcelona. I based the tattoo’s color flow on the cathedral windows’ seasonal transitions. Change—both expected and unexpected—has shaped my life personally and professionally. The warm-to-cool gradient, from hip to ankle, reflects anticipated change, while the lizard’s reversed pattern represents the unpredictable changes.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak, it would tell a story of pushing through pain and finding meaning on the other side. Life’s complicated—but that’s part of what makes it worth living. My tattoos remind me to face the messiness, embrace the change, and keep going forward.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I won the $25,000 I would use some of it to pay off my student loans from earning my teaching degree, and work on getting more ink that represents myself and what I am about.
