Ouroboros on my forearm. A snake eating its own tail. That one’s loaded with meaning. I got it when I now in my 30s went back to college. A single mom with two kids and brain damage. It’s the perfect concoction. There’s no end. Just continuation. Although life seems like I’m eating my own tail at times I still continue on. The good the bad all in one.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I have amnesia from ECT therapy. I had two to three sessions every week for three years. Looking at my tattoos and seeing how I have changed and grown by visual markings and pictures will always be surreal to me. My life is mainly told to me by memories and stories from others. when I look at my tattoos they are my story. Some suck some are beautiful but they came from me. Not someone else. (Shout out to the artists those remembered and forgotten.)
