My most recent tattoo is a bee on my ankle. I got this tattoo with my best friend as we were finishing our PhDs. We got through a pandemic, global upheaval, and toxic PIs while forming an incredible friendship. We are bumble bee buds.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink is nature themed and both were done during important moments in my life. If they could speak, they would say they exist to make memory last. They say that these moments were pivotal and deserved to be immortalized. They also say that my body is my own to decorate.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would visit some of my closest friends that I haven’t seen in years because of the limitation of doing a STEM PhD. One of my best friends has a family now on the east coast I haven’t met all of. My other best friend moved to England and I haven’t seen her in so long. I would rekindle these relationships that mean so much to me.
