Each of my 7 tattoos is a story I like to tell. I mark critical junctures of my life with ink.

Enter For FreeAs my most recent tats are flash, I will focus on my last custom piece. The color tattoo on my inner bicep is my Long COVID journey. I was a lifelong athlete; it all stopped at 27. Blue ♾️ is for LC survivors; a lotus for resilience and rebirth; a semicolon for choosing to live in the face of the impossible; the heartbeat line points ever forward, the only direction I'm looking. It's placed strategically so I can watch it change as I get back my atrophied muscle mass.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?The strength of this body is no longer dependent on a deadlift PR; this body is strong because it has surmounted the insurmountable, and keeps climbing every day, inch by inch, toward Long COVID remission.
What would you do with the $25,000?Go right back to providing community aid, especially for my fellow disabled and chronically ill peers, like I was before my disability cost me my job. Hopefully, tip the grassroots awareness movement into real funding for LC research.
