What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My flag tattoo was tribute to my 2 kids that serve as well as family members who served and are no longer with us. Below the flag is a northern star. The northern point is directed at the flag because my kids and country are my true north! We wouldn’t have the life we are allowed to live if it wasn’t for sacrifices made.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say that I appreciate everything I’ve been able to work for. Not every country allows women to pursue a career, be independent and strong. I feel like when I look at my tattoos and other people look at them it shows that I am true to my own convictions and stand behind what I believe in. As a military Mom I gave my kids up for the United States. It’s a conflicting feeling and hard to know that they have put them selves in a position to possibly give up their own life for oth

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d use the money to continue the philanthropy work I do helping addicts continue recovery. I also provide housing for mostly men in recovery, felons and others who are homeless. They pay rent but to keep it affordable I do a lot of extra work helping with job searching, furnishing the houses, getting peoples DL back, driving renters to the food shelf, appointments, doing SS paperwork and other misc tasks to help them.
