Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

A very hard time…and a photo I took of coffee remnants that looked like a phoenix to me. Triangles - the strongest shape, the spiral - the way of life…in the end is love. Love is what resonates, endures and carries hope each day. When we’re gone, our love continues inside our closest friends and family.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I’m lonely. I need more ink friends. This body I’m on has a story to tell and share on the outside. This body has an artist’s soul, is poor in finances, but rich with experience…many good and bad. I was inked with worry, sorrow and pain. This body needs to be inked with love, adventure and joy.

What would you do with the $25,000?

My car is about to fall apart…is falling apart. I’m late on rent. I’m a single mom with sole custody of my son. I work full time, but it’s not enough. I would spoil my son a little…it’s been so long since we had any fun, or a long weekend away somewhere…I’d get a safe ride, and save the rest towards getting out of our 700 sq ft 1 BD apt.
