Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo, a Death’s head moth, was inspired by my experiences with loss and close brushes with suicide. I wanted a symbol that holds both darkness and beauty—a reminder that even in life’s lowest moments, there’s still wonder to be found, and that every day is a gift worth holding on to.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my tattoos could speak, they'd tell stories of strength and survival—earning my black belt, fighting my way back to art, and carrying the weight of Blake’s “Tyger” for me and my family. Inked by my sister’s hand, they are symbols of love, pain, and perseverance—each mark a chapter in a tapestry I’m proud to wear.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won the $25,000, I would finally be able to pursue my dream of having a dedicated art studio and focus fully on my painting. I’d also use part of it to travel—experiencing new places and perspectives that would inspire my work and help me grow both as an artist and a person.
