Growing up with trauma, I learned to cope fast. My sanctuary came from sitting in my garden or at my best friend's house. I chose to honor that comfort with tattoos of a magnolia, tiger lily, and peace lily. Now, in hard times, I look at them and feel that nostalgia. That’s what I love about tattoos they’re forever and carry pieces of our story everywhere we go.
