My recent tattoo is the piece on my neck which was inspired by the tribal tattoo of the indigenous people of the Philippines. I’m Filipino and learning so much about my culture, pre Spanish time. Many of the indigenous people were marked, the Spaniards called them “The Painted Ones.” Learning about this makes me very proud of who I am and my culture.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?Most of my ink has a story to tell as it’s dedicated to family and my culture. I usually pick designs that speaks to me and/or relates to me and I tweak it out a little bit to be more specific to my story.
