Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

This owl tattoo is a tribute to my father, whose favorite animal has always been the owl. It represents wisdom, intuition, and strength—qualities that have guided me through life. During my illness, these same values kept me grounded and helped me stay resilient. The tattoo serves as a reminder of my father’s influence and the powerful bond we share. It’s not just ink; it’s a symbol of love, guidance, and the principles that have shaped who I am today.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My tattoos speak of strength and growth. The lion symbolizes courage, while the roses represent beauty through struggle. The owl with a clock signifies wisdom and the passage of time. The wolf honors loyalty and independence. The Native American warrior embodies resilience, and the trees reflect grounding and personal growth. The doves represent peace, and Roman numerals mark my cancer survival. The eye and waves symbolize perception and life’s constant ebb and flow.

What would you do with the $25,000?

If I won $25,000, I’d use a portion of it to pay off my student debt so I can focus more on my future and the things that truly matter. I’d also love to donate some of it to cancer research, as that’s something close to my heart. Ultimately, I’d use the prize to build a better life while supporting causes that make a difference.
