I was inspired by the Norse culture and how they fought with the thought of dying so they would go to Valhalla. I am a 9-year Army veteran and have been fascinated about fighting and mind set. So I wanted to put a Valkyrie as the main center piece as they are the "Angels" who are believed to guide warriors to Valhalla after their death. If your ink could speak, what would it say?My ink would portray bravery and beauty. Bravery for the Vikings who died and were taken to Valhalla. Valkyries are chosen by Odin for their beauty, so I wanted to portray life and death in her face and that it's all a part of life. The three eyed crow represents wisdom of knowing the past, present and future of life. Also, I am a Finance Profession at a fortune 100 company, and I want to show the world that expressing your feelings and beliefs with art is totally acceptable.
What would you do with the $25,000?If I am selected, I would donate the $25k to The Andrew McDonough foundation. I have a soft spot for children as I have two children of my own and would appreciate if someone donated and helped my family out with the donation. I also lost my best friend and Grandfather to cancer and would love to have the opportunity to help families in need.
