Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

One of my best friends and I got to see one of my favorite bands, Holywatr. We decided that if we could get their signatures, that would be our matching tattoos — we met working in the music industry and have been to tons of shows together. We were able to meet Holywatr, got pics and signatures, and got them tattooed the next day. Awesome dudes, great band, irreplaceable memories. Check em out, they’re touring with Architects this year!

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I wear my ink like armor, so i would WANT it to tell you to F off — but my ink itself would probably invite you over for drinks and stories around a bonfire. Kinda like a guard dog that’s bad at its job and just wants a treat.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would certainly get my back piece finished as soon as possible — it got me there, and that would probably heal me completely knowing that so many people have seen it and found it beautiful. I still feel so uncomfortable in my skin sometimes, winning this thing without the money would actually fix me. As for the rest of the money, I honestly would want more tattoos or to get some old tattoos fixed, but in this economy, i might be better off saving it lol.
