Keleisha Mallette

My ink like most tells a story, more so where I was in a period in my life and people I’ve met along the way.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

I recently got a butterfly done on my right hand. I had been wanting to get this hand done for a while, but had no inspiration as to what to get. I did some research and came to learn that butterflies represent growth and I think coming into my 30s I’ve definitely experienced much growth in my career and personal life that I’m very proud of so now I have a nice reminder every day.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink speaks a lot to how I’ve grown and where I’ve been but also the people I’ve met. As coached by my sister, I started small then fell in love with more artwork. It’s shown me how long I can sit through pain and deal with things when the outcome will be incredible. My ink tells stories from various artists from all around, so the artwork itself has a deeper story with those specific artist.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I have many passions I would definitely like to travel more and pay off school, but I would also like to take the money and invest in a very good project motorcycle. I think it would be fun to have the experience but not limit myself financially with the project. I love learning, so what better to learn more on motorcycles than to build my own.
