I grew up in Hawaii and the culture and its people have always made me feel at home. After returning home from a visit I was so homesick that I needed a Hawaiian sea turtle, the state fish, the island chain and some corals to soothe my soul.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?They would say “She was once young and weak and they took advantage, her scars are not visible so we are here to tell the story of her survival and triumph. From neglected orphan to foster mom. From trauma back to beauty, but with all the scariness that trauma shows. We hid nothing but show strength. Also, we would like more friends.”
What would you do with the $25,000?Honestly, I’d spend some on my bills and to get a tattoo and the rest I would use for grad school. I’m a healthcare worker that survived the pandemic, just barely, and hoping to find a way to help other healthcare workers become their best selves through integrative medicine and coaching. The money is a bonus, I need the tattoo, let’s be real I’m donating some of it. Voting starts on my birthday, we will just say mid 40’s. A vote for me is a great gift!
