Enter For FreeMy daughter and I have always said "I love you infinity infinity," which came about when she was very young. We are both musicians, and so before she went off to college we got matching infinity signs with two little music notes on the inside of our wrists. The smallest of all my art, but arguably the most meaningful.
If your ink could speak, what would it say? This is the art of a woman who's been through it. Childhood abuse, addiction, self harm, mental health struggles, suicidal ideation, traumatic relationships with others and herself. It's symbolic of the family she created when her own biofamily failed her, of her sobriety and ongoing journey to love herself as much as she loves others. It's beauty and inspiration applied through needle and pain until she learned to own her own power. It's her armor and vulnerability on full display.
What would you do with the $25,000?Get it all in $5 bills and do a photo shoot in it? Although that sounds pretty unsanitary and the nurse in me inwardly cringes. I have a couple of people in my life that are going through their own hard times and some would go to them. A diving trip to Bon Aire with my daughter and dive buddy would definitely be on the list....then again, I always wanted a mini donkey.....and more ink....maybe some ADHD medication would be a good place to start.
