Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was the Phoenix on my chest to represent how many struggles I’ve overcome during my life. From multiple suicide attempts to abusive relationships to struggling with self harm addiction, my mental health hasn’t always been the best but I’ve been learning to overcome these challenges. The Phoenix shows how I’m rising out of the ashes of my trauma and taking control of my life.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

I think my ink would be a really big advocate for mental health. Tattoos have really given me a way to love myself more and be my true self. My ink tells the story of my life. It shows challenges that I’ve faced and people I’ve loved along the way. Even the most random or poorly done tattoo on my body tell a story which is why I’ve never regretted any tattoo I’ve gotten.

What would you do with the $25,000?

$25,000 would absolutely change my life. I could finally move out on my own and get away from my toxic family. It’d be amazing to have my own place where I could live in peace away from all the drama and narcissism. I’d also want to donate some of that money to a suicide prevention/mental health awareness charity. I really want to bring awareness to mental health, as it’s a very important and relevant topic that I’ve had a lot of personal experience with.
