Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo was inspired by my Father. My Dad has been the biggest supporter of my life and has also been a huge role model for me. He was in the United States Navy as a sonar technician for 10 years. After he got out he started exploring his artistic side by air brushing motocross helmets and also full motorcycle body’s as well. This made me want to get my most recent tattoo that he designed himself that had a navy theme.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Every time I look at my ink I hear the family members voice in which I got the tattoo for. My ink is a constant reminder and voice to keep family the closest. For the past 5 years my Dad has struggled with heart problems. Every time I look at my Dads tattoo I got in honor of him I always think “stay strong”. Many of my tattoos are also for my family members that have passed away. These tattoos always speak to me and say that there is beauty in death.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would used the money to open up my own tattoo studio. For the past 2 years I have been learning by myself on how to tattoo. Recently this past year I was hired to be an artist in a shop by my home town. This money will help open up a shop that is welcome to self taught artists and or people that have the passion and drive to tattoo that I have. Being a self taught artist I knew the struggle of trying to get into a shop. I want to make a learning environment for those who want to be successful.
