My most recent tattoo is two thestrals from Harry Potter. Those who have seen death are the only ones who can see them. I have a mother and baby thestral to represent me and the baby that I lost through miscarriage.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?It tells a story of the hardest parts of my life and how I have overcome. I’ve experienced religious, relational and sexual trauma. Through this ink I have been able to tell my story of strength, power, resilience, courage, self love and acceptance. My first tattoo was in 2022, it is Fawkes the Phoenix from Harry Potter. Just as a phoenix rises from their ashes and is reborn, so was I. Getting ink became a cathartic process. In that same year I got 12 more, to fully take my body back.
What would you do with the $25,000?Save most of it, put it away for when times get tough, and my son’s future. I will take $5k of it and take my family on an unforgettable vacation. And if we’re honest, totally get another tattoo.
