Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My friend committed suicide in January of last year. I wanted to honor her so I got a tattoo similar to what she had on her arm, which was cheetah, but I got it with color because I’m a colorful gal and her name on it. It’s beautiful.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

It would say that I have moved mountains to change my life. I came from the slums. I was heavy in addiction with one of my arm pieces, it’s a daily reminder of where I’ve come from. I’m proud to say I’ve been sober for seven years and a single mom of two babies. Getting Ink makes me feel alive and reminds me that there is such a thing as good pain. Every piece has a story behind it.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would get leg pieces, I would fix my arm piece so it doesn’t look so much like a prison tattoo. I would get my back done. I would get absolutely blasted with the most beautiful pieces. Each of them would have meaning, and it would mean the world to me. I don’t have nearly enough Inc . I’m basically an empty canvas besides one arm which I want to cover up.
