What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My love for dark and bold work. I’m currently working on a Japanese blackwork sleeve with Aries Rhysing out of Denver Colorado at All Sacred Tattoo. The sleeve consists of peonies, a skull morph Hannyah, and an eyelash viper. I love the symbolism and lore behind Hannyahs and peonies in Japanese history. The eyelash viper was added in on my request as one of my favorite reptiles that we’re adding traditional samurai armor patterns to, to make it fit the theme. Aries is amazing.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

That there’s immense beauty in dark imagery. That there’s more than meets the eye even when darker more serious art is on display. It would tell a story of the hardships of life, and that love, friendship, and the people you pour yourself into can completely change your life for the better. That sacrifice is worth it to make your dreams happen. That you don’t need to spend your time on this earth pleasing others, just be yourself authentically and the rest will come.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I’d use the money to help my girlfriend and mom. They’re both some of the most amazing women on this planet. I don’t know where’d I be without them. I’d use the money towards a down payment on a house so that I could I could take care of them and build my mom a mother in law suite to have her close and for her future grandkid(s).
