Learn MoreI was stripped of my confidence and identity when I went through domestic violence with him as a toddler. The goal for that tattoo was to remind me that the root of everything good will come from my love for my son and no one can take that away from me because it’s deep within my heart, and from that love our lives can be fruitful again.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?It would say, “Although our road was full of twists and turns, you are safe inside my heart. We will grow strong and mighty together. We will stand tall and never, again, be cut down”. This is my promise to my son.
What would you do with the $25,000?Right now, my son and I are homeless. We live in a domestic violence shelter. I would find an apartment and pay for the year for us. Also, I would get my son clothes and shoes. I would pay for the ABA Therapy the doctor prescribed to help him cope with the challenges he faces being autistic.
