Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

The very difficult decision to change. I left behind a twisted childhood defined by guilt and lies, a battle with drug addiction, and a few friends gone before their time. My leg tattoo reminds me of how grateful I am to be here, and that the road to change is long and challenging but without it nothing will ever get better, so you better keep on keeping on. It’s worth it when you get where you’re going.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

Cherish the people you love, don’t take anything for granted. You never know what you miss until it’s gone. Pain is a guarantee in life and, hopefully, it will come with valuable lessons. Be strong. Embrace your dark side but don’t let it define you. Hear the wisdom of people older than you. Appreciate art, because it’s the language of our souls. Express yourself. Be courageous. And when the time comes that you need to find yourself, don’t let anything stop you.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to do everything I could to create some stability in my life. Pay some bills, learn how to invest, learn how to build a business. Help out some of my family, if I could. And invest in my passion; making music. I’ve never had money like that before so it would be a learning experience.
