My most recent tattoo is "bella ciao" written on my neck – a reference to an antifascist hymn by the Italian resistance. I'm a community organizer and activist dedicated to fighting fascism, so the words give me courage and remind me of those who fought before me. ("Bella Ciao" is also just a really badass song.)
If your ink could speak, what would it say?It would probably scream in a cacophony of beautiful chaos. Actually, "a cacophony of beautiful chaos" is how I would describe myself.
What would you do with the $25,000?I would pay off the last dregs of my student loans 🤢 and use the rest to start a community mutual aid fund for my comrades in the streets. I want to explore alternatives to the financial system and create mechanisms for folks not to have to use big banks. Unfortunately, it takes some starting cash to do that.
