My most recent tattoo is a cover-up of a time I felt I was in hell, deployed, losing friends to war and suicide. That pain haunted me for years. I chose a Japanese dragon to symbolize wisdom and growth, a way to move forward. But I didn’t cover it completely, the flame still burns, a reminder of the fire I walked through and how far I’ve come from it. It’s not just ink; it’s survival and transformation.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I honor where I come from, embrace the beauty of other traditions, and carry the love for my children in every breath. My ink speaks of roots, respect, and resilience. My story isn’t over, each chapter still unfolding beneath my skin.
