Learn MoreMy Hannya mask is my most recent tattoo. It represents my dark past. In a way, I resonated with what the mask embodies- pain, sadness and anger. However, you pair it with a snake and this can symbolize rebirth and power. I felt this exact tattoo portrays my past life of domestic abuse for 6 years. And how I chose to not let it define who I am and instead grow into someone I love and respect. I specifically chose bright, unique colors for contrast and to honor that growth.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?I am pain and sorrow made beautiful, my beauty being born from venom. I wear my past with pride, not shame nor doubt. I do not regret, only remember. I’m not just ink. I’m your story- with fangs and fire
What would you do with the $25,000?Absolute first thing I would do is pay off my credit/school debt. From there I’d purchase my own tattoo equipment and start practicing on my free time! I’ve always enjoyed drawing and this is something I’ve been dreaming of starting since 17. Go travel a bit & donate to salt lakes homeless shelters <3
