Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Being on vacation, surrounded by my culture and the people I love - and getting the spontaneous urge to imprint that memory forever. Me and my mother got matching Puerto Rican flowers for our heritage. Growing up, I never had any connection to that side of the family because of missed connections and distance, but regardless, the island runs deep in my veins and that flower is an outstanding reminder to myself and everyone else who I am.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my tattoos could speak, they’d yell at me for all the times I’ve ever doubted myself and my instincts: they know what I’m capable of doing and what I am made of - and they serve as my daily affirmation to myself and others what I have been, what I am, and what I will be. My tattoos would never let me forget, and would definitely say the words I need to hear.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would further my educational pursuits: finalize a masters in Forensics to use that degree to give back to my community, and give a voice to the deceased and help them find resolve in Crime Scene Investigation - this has been my dream since I was 5. With or without this money, I’ll make this dream happen, however, I will never pass up a chance/opportunity to utilize to make my dreams manifest even faster.
