Madison Neal

My ink is my warrior paint. My security blanket. My comfort. It’s artwork, and it makes me feel ethereal.

What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Imagine an ice cream cone—but instead of a scoop, it’s the head of a clown, cherry on top. Yep, that’s living rent-free on my arm now. It’s weird, it’s creepy, and it makes people pause mid-sentence. That’s the point. I didn’t want something cute or trendy—I wanted something that makes people say, “Wait, what?” It’s original, it’s wild, and it’s 100% me.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

“Calm down, Karen, not every tattoo needs a Bible verse.” That’s what it would say. I was raised hearing tattoos had to mean something deep and poetic, like they were sacred scrolls or something. Truth is, most of mine are just chaotic good. A couple have meaning, sure—but the rest are just my wild energy made permanent. My ink’s not whispering wisdom—it’s laughing in the face of rules and saying, “Wild and free, baby.”

What would you do with the $25,000?

Let’s be honest: $25K could change a lot. It would bring real stability to me and my little family—less panic, more peace. I’d invest in making our life better: fix up the house, get reliable wheels, maybe finally start that business idea that’s been bouncing around in my head like a raccoon in a trash can. I’m not trying to get rich—I’m trying to get secure. And maybe make a little magic while I’m at it.
