I wanted to pay tribute to the state I was born in: my hometown roots on the West Coast. My home state of Oregon inspired the Mosasaurus thigh piece. It's my largest dinosaur tattoo, representing the longest I've lived in a state, and where my family still resides.
If your ink could speak, what would it say?"Rawr, I'm a dinosaur". Haha, just kidding, or am I? They would talk about the places I've been to and the adventures I've been on; the memories of all of my loved ones throughout my life, and the words of wisdom they've shared with me. Just as people and places leave marks, I'm thankful to have physical representations of everything that has shaped me into who I am today. And who doesn't love dinosaurs?
What would you do with the $25,000?As a newlywed and a new homeowner, the majority of the prize would be dedicated to home-improvement projects for our future family. I would also put some aside for my husband and me to go on a honeymoon, as we weren't able to take one (new job, new state, new marriage, haha). And of course, I'll be setting some aside for more tattoos ;)
