My most recent tattoo would be my aunts portrait . Both my mom & dad died when I was 6 yrs old. My aunt not only became a mother figure but also my best friend. Though she had many health struggles; battling cancer she always made time for me and made me feel loved. I didn’t know how I was going to make it after her passing 9 yrs ago. But tattooing her portrait and seeing her face daily is a constant reminder of not just HER strength but the love and strength she gave ME. SHES MY ANGEL
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If my ink could speak it would say my STORY is still being written. My ink would tell the tail of where I’m from and speak of my courage, strength, passion and love. Just like the ink on my skin my story runs deep and there is so much more to me than what you see on the surface. I have overcome so much and I am grateful and hopeful for what’s to come…..
What would you do with the $25,000?As a single mom on disability if I win, the prize money is going to my daughters college tuition. She is an inspiring artist and illustrator who attends the renowned FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY here in NEW YORK CITY. I know the money won’t cover everything, but the small peace of mind it will bring for next semester will be priceless.
