Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

Tambanokano is a Filo mytho giant crab that lives in the ocean and my zodiac is cancer. The crab lives in a deep-sea cave and is responsible for the tides. So powerful, blinks from his eyes create lightning. I asked my tattoo artist to incorporate UV reactive ink for the lightning (which was new at the time) it resembles a hekigani crab featuring Majora's Mask, my favorite video game.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

The main motif of my tattoos is a loosely translated quote from the Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal, "No History, No Self. Know History, Know Self." It tells the story of my ancestors history before Spanish colonization. Representing a deconstructed Ying-yang, the bird dragon Minokawa steals the sun and the sea dragon Bakunawa tries to swallow the moon. What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use it to start my business and open a studio and pursue my dream in music and dance! I grew up dancing and I feel more people need a space to let go and dance. A studio space for the community to find their inner dancer!
