I attended a retreat for veterans by the lone survivor foundation a few years back and while out on a hike with other attendees in the middle of nowhere Texas I just happened to find an arrowhead in the dirt. It inspired a long discussion with others on being who you are and “letting your freak flag fly” to find your tribe. Last year a sister veteran from the program came to visit me during some dark days and we traveled to an indian reservation and both had that arrowhead tattooed o
If your ink could speak, what would it say?If these tats could talk! Each one would have a very different story of strength, courage, transformation and survival.
What would you do with the $25,000?As a 100% disabled veteran I am unable to work to support myself and my kids and scrape by each month to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. I would use a small portion to show my kids my favorite beaches in the world in Puerto Rico. The rest would be saved to have as a cushion for car repairs and unexpected bills that naturally arise with three teenage boys. That piece of mind to know that I wouldn’t have to sell things or put off needs would bring much comfort to my heart.
