In a world where racial and ethic identity seem to be to most important, nothing means more to me than my upbringing in NYC. My tattoo is of the Brooklyn bridge, with the words “made in Brooklyn”. Yes im a child of immigrants, veterans and so much more; but they could only come together in a place like Brooklyn. There is nothing more significant in the shaping of who i am than the pulse of Brooklyn; the grandmothers out the window and the roses that grows from concrete.

What would you do with the $25,000?I found love in Brooklyn; his name is Vance, a navy veteran that only found healing when we rescued a 70lb pitbull and his brother turned his life around and they rekindled their relationship in adulthood. Just 1 yr after getting this dog and connecting with his brother again, Vance’s brother was murdered.
