During my daughter‘s addiction, she always told me that I was a strong as a mother elephant, and she had hoped to be a strong for her daughter, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her addiction. I always wanted a chest piece. On her 25th birthday I got her birthday crown and on my 50th birthday I got the mother elephant. It represents the strength that I have to face every day especially now that I’m raising her daughter. It’s just a reminder how strong she saw me.

This is a mother that gets up every day and pulls myself out of the depths of hell to keep on going and not to give up. This is a mother, whose daughter believed that I was so strong because I never gave up on her during her addiction. This is a mother who loved her daughter unconditionally and fought so hard for her sobriety.
