Connect What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My newest tattoo is a hibiscus and sun, done by a dear friend. There’s no deep meaning. It’s not from sorrow, but from sunlight. I bloom in warmth, and this piece feels like a mirror—soft florals, golden rays, a quiet kind of joy. Most of my ink is nature-based- most florals; an elder once called it “a beautiful garden,” and that name stayed. This tattoo is part of that—I try to be rooted, radiant, and growing always.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

If my ink could speak, it would speak in flowers and sunlight. Soft summer rains. It would say I’ve chosen to grow, even when it was easier to hide. That I’ve built a garden across my skin—each bloom a moment of softness, strength, or joy. It would hum with warmth, whisper that I am still becoming, still blooming. That beauty isn’t just something I wear—it’s something I believe in, something I return to. Something I offer in heart.

What would you do with the $25,000?

With $25,000, I’d water the roots of the work I’ve poured my heart into—bringing my work in the background of the industry to full bloom. I’d expand what I’ve built with more warmth, better tools, and a deeper reach, not just for now, but as a legacy for my children. I want to show them that love, vision, and integrity can build something lasting. I’d travel to connect, learn, and feel the pulse of the world again! And I’d tuck a little away for joy&
