What inspired your most recent tattoo?

My most recent tattoo is a bear with mountains and thee quote "Into the forest I go to lose my mind and find my soul. This reflects how spending time out doors helps mental illness which is a topic close to my heart. My brother committed suicide several years ago and I work in profession which the rate of PTSD is high.

If your ink could speak, what would it say?

My ink tells how much my family means to me; Both biological and my LEO family. It would tell you how dedicated I am to Special Olympics (not only with the Law Enforcement Torch Run, but as a coach). It would tell you how much my children mean. Special tattoos remembering my brother, parents, and son who passed away. The meaning of caring for your mental health and how being grounded with the earth can help with recovery.

What would you do with the $25,000?

I would use the money to spend with my family, especially my grandchildren. Tomorrow is not promised. One of my granddaughters has a rare form of epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, which is life threatening. I would take all of my children and grandchildren on a trip together to make memories.
